Background Check

Chloe has almost no memory of her life prior to her capture by Colonel William Stryker in 2000. She was captured after the Liberty Island incident with Magneto. She was outed as a mutant by a friend and taken into custody. She was kept in confinement until being released after Stryker's death in 2003. Left on her own, she was recruited to the Morlocks by their leader Callisto. She spent time in hiding and living underground until one day while out with Arclight, she was captured in 2006 by military troops and registered. She spent over a year undergoing experimentation until being brainwashed.

Under Trask's control she brainwashed Deathstryke and Haylie Snyder to attack the Xavier Institute. She was taken hostage by the escaped X-Men and forced to give Haylie's memories back. After this, Haylie took Chloe under her wing and made her an honorary professor at the Xavier Institute. Chloe now teaches Psychology with Haylie and helps students with her powers to regain lost memories.

Psychological Profile

Being faced with the horrors of her past and her lack of memory due to experimentation, Chloe is very timid and sensitive, as well as shy. She is incredibly kind and generous, to a fault even, and has issues with trusting. Occasionally, though, she will exhibit stronger characteristics – anger, bitterness, confidence, inner strength, resolve, and even a violent temperament but those usually only appear when a friend or loved one is threatened.

Genetic Mutation

Chloe possesses a unique ability to tap into the hippocampus (the memory center) of the brain and read people’s memories in a matter of minutes. Through being able to read the memories of others, she can freely manipulate and even erase memories with ease. She’s also begun to be able to project her own memories onto the minds of others who are psychic or share a deep connection with her. However, her powers are rendered nearly useless when used against people with powerful psychic abilities (ie. Charles Xavier) or hidden psychic barriers (ie. Haylie Snyder).

Haylie Snyder: Although the two originally met in military captivity and Chloe was forced to brainwash Haylie, the two have become very close friends and share an almost sisterly bond.
Michael Chandler: Michael is one of the infamous Chandler Shipping heirs, a rich Southerner with his own farming business out in Bootlick, Nebraska. His sister is Hope Chandler, one of the Institute’s medical staff. He is Haylie’s doting fiancé and by default a friend of Chloe’s.
Professor Charles Xavier: The founder of the Xavier Institute and Chloe’s mentor. He is responsible for taking Chloe in and giving her the job as Haylie’s assistant.
